迷迭香是灌木植物, 有著銀綠色的針狀葉和淺藍色的花瓣. 它是最早用於醫藥的植物之一, 並稱為薰香灌木, 氣味和乳香有些類似, 穿透力很強, 具有強力的殺菌及防腐特性. 在病房燃燒當作消毒薰香劑的傳統延續了數百年. 蒸餾植株開花的頂端或葉子部分便可得到迷迭香精油. 它的化學成分變化很多, 較典型的成分有樟腦、龍腦、松油萜和桉油醇. 而松油萜和桉油醇是馬鞅酮迷迭香的主要成份. 迷迭香是種強烈的精油, 還有很強烈的刺鼻味, 味道和功效都是溫暖而強烈.

【本质】   

平均高度约60公分,最高可到90公分,叶子呈长条性,花色为花缘红紫色,内缘白色,精油自蒸馏其叶子及花朵,颜色透明无色,香味和尤佳利很像,但带有温暖的木质香,迷迭香在砍下枝干仍能保持生命一段时间,因此在能量上属于良好的添加剂,也是蜜蜂最喜爱的植物之一。

主要组成为α蒎烯、1,8桉叶素、莰烯、樟脑、龙脑和β蒎烯。

【历史使用记录】   

在埃及及希腊罗马时代,人们认为它代表一种生的希望及死的安详,对于恶魔有驱逐作用,因此献给爱人可代表为爱的关怀,欧洲在爆发流行性感冒时,常在医院焚烧以杀菌,仕女也常用玫瑰、香蜂草加上迷迭香及佛手柑调制回春洗脸用品,因为迷迭香也具有很好的防腐效果。

【魔法配方】   

1、改善皮肤:很强的收缩作用,紧缩松弛的肌肤,去痒。   

甜杏仁油20毫升+迷迭香5滴+雪松3滴+丝柏2滴   

2、女性呵护:按摩,舒缓经痛,改善经血过少问题。   

甜杏仁油10毫升+葡萄籽油10毫升+迷迭香5滴+茉莉3滴+快乐鼠尾草2滴   

3、改善头皮屑:改善头皮屑,生发。   

洗发精50毫升+迷迭香5滴+雪松3滴+丝柏2滴   

4、心血系统:按摩,强心剂与心脏的刺激剂,恢复正常血压,调理贫血。   

甜杏仁油10毫升+葡萄籽油10毫升+迷迭香5滴+玫瑰3滴+牛膝草2滴   

5、消化系统:按摩,改善肝脏,减轻肝炎、肝硬化,改善消化不良,胃痛。   

甜杏仁油10毫升+葡萄籽油10毫升+迷迭香6滴+黑胡椒3滴+茴香2滴

【使用方法】   

1、用2滴迷迭香精油做热敷能缓解背部肌肉的疼痛 。   

2、在热水中滴入24滴迷迭香精油用于吸入法可以缓解感冒时鼻子的不通 。   

3、关节发炎时,可以用4滴迷迭香精油做成冷敷剂精油配方。   

4、在20毫升的基础油中添加8滴迷迭香精油能为运动前的暖身做准备。   

5、在20毫升的基础按摩油中添加4滴迷迭香精油和4滴熏衣草精油能舒缓激烈运动后的肌肉疼痛。   

6、与杜松混合能加强缓解肌肉疼痛。   

旅行的时候会因为兴奋或者有择床的毛病睡不好觉。随身带一瓶自然美的香橙精油,睡前把瓶盖打开,直接吸入,或者滴两滴香精油在枕头上,就会睡的十分安稳。   

自己可以根据需要随心所欲配制一些付方香精油。像柠檬可以美白,香橙可以排出体内毒素,熏衣草可以促进细胞再生,佛手柑在睡前点,可以平衡人的情绪,有催眠作用。   

香精油有两种,一种是直接涂在身体上的,价格比较贵;一种是用来点燃香熏的。买的时候要分清楚。   

在蒸汽熨斗水中加入几滴柠檬或西柚香精油,熨衣服时可使室内留下一股清新气味。

【使用需知】   

具有高度的刺激性,不适合高血压及癫痫患者;具有通经功效,避免在怀孕期间使用。

【迷迭香故事】   

迷迭香原产于地中海沿岸,它的英文名字是由两个拉丁文〈ros和marinus〉演变来的,意指「海之朝露」。根据一项古老的传说是,迷迭香的花本来是白色的,在圣母玛莉亚带着圣婴耶稣逃往埃及的途中,圣母曾将她的罩袍挂在迷迭香树上,从此以后,迷迭香的花就转为蓝色了。   

耶稣在逃离犹太前往埃及途中,将洗好的衣服晾晒在迷迭香上,迷迭香因此被赋予许多药效。宗教传说,加深了迷迭香神圣的力量,在欧洲,迷迭香被广植于教堂的四周,教徒将它视为神圣的供品,因此迷迭香又被称为:「圣母玛利亚的玫瑰。」   

莎士比亚在其剧着中写着:「迷迭香是为了帮助回忆,亲爱的,请您牢记。

【精油使用注意事项】

1、怀孕初期几个月内以及小孩最好避免使用精油来按摩或泡澡。

2、皮肤或体质敏感者,请在使用前先进行敏感测试。

3、除少部分精油,如薰衣草、茶树等可直接涂抹于皮肤外,其它大部分精油用于身体肌肤时,必须稀释或用基础油调和后才能使用,除非有其它特别的建议。

4、肌肤上使用柑橘类精油(如佛手柑、柠檬等)后四小时内请勿在阳光下曝晒。

5、精油不能取代药物。因此,使用后如症状未改善,请一定要看病就医,绝不可因使用精油而放弃原先已在使用的药物。

6、患有高低血压、癫痫、神经及肾脏方面疾病的病人请小心使用。使用前最好先请教芳香治疗师。

7、请按建议量使用。使用过量会导致反效果,甚至对身体造成过大负担。

8、请避免小孩直接碰触,以免误用而发生危险。

9、避免用塑料、易溶解或油彩表面的容器,稀释精油时需使用玻璃、不锈钢或陶瓷器。

10、精油最好不要内服,除非获得芳香治疗师或医师的指示 .

【精油的保存方法】

1、品质精良的精油,必定是使用深色玻璃瓶装,常用深蓝色或深棕色,可防止紫外线。

2、放置于阴凉处,避免阳光直射。但不必存放于冰箱。

3、将瓶口直立向上放置,不用时将瓶盖拧紧。

Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) is a woody, perennial herb with fragrant evergreen needle-like leaves. It is native to the Mediterranean region. It is a member of the mint family Lamiaceae, which also includes many other herbs. The name rosemary derives from the Latin name rosmarinus, which is from "dew" (ros) and "sea" (marinus), or "dew of the sea" apparently because it is frequently found growing near the sea.

This shrub is an evergreen, reaching up to 2 meters, with silver- gray lanceloate leaves and light blue tubular flowers that grow in clusters.

The Greeks and Romans have known of the healing and stimulating benefits of Rosemary for centuries and used it extensively with particular use for memory and many conditions related to the head.

Traditional use: Hungary Water was first prepared for the Queen of Hungary to "renovate vitality of paralyzed limbs" and to treat gout. It was used externally and prepared by mixing fresh rosemary tops into spirits of wine. Rosemary has a very old reputation for improving memory, and has been used as a symbol for remembrance (during weddings, war commemorations and funerals) in Europe and Australia. One modern study lends some credence to this reputation. When the smell of rosemary was pumped into cubicles where people were working, those people showed improved memory, though with slower recall.

Potential medicinal use The results of a study suggest that carnosic acid, found in rosemary, may shield the brain from free radicals, lowering the risk of strokes and neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's and Lou Gehrig's. Rosemary contains a number of potentially biologically active compounds, including antioxidants such as carnosic acid and rosmarinic acid. Other bioactive compounds include caffeic acid, ursolic acid, betulinic acid, rosmaridiphenol, and rosmanol.

Health Precautions Rosemary in culinary or therapeutic doses is generally safe; however, precaution is necessary for those displaying allergic reaction or prone to epileptic seizures. Rosemary essential oil is potentially toxic if ingested. Large quantities of rosemary leaves can cause adverse reactions, such as coma, spasm, vomiting, and pulmonary edema (fluid in the lungs) that can be fatal. Avoid consuming large quantities of rosemary if pregnant or breastfeeding.

Aromatic Scent: Rosemary French has a Fresh, Strong, Woody, Balsamic, Herbal Minty scent that is less camphoraceous than the Spanish Rosemary.

Common Uses: Its best-known use is as facial oil for extremely dry skin. The verbenone CT is even more effective at clearing catarrh than Rosemary officinalis. It is less stimulating generally and much less of a mental stimulant, so it can be used in the evening. Rosemary (vebenone) essential oil nourishes the scalp and keeps hair looking healthy and shiny. Many users claim that it promotes hair growth, though there is not any medical evidence to support this argument. It normalizes excessive oil secretions and improves most scalp problems, particularly dandruff and seborrhea. Rosemary oil is also helpful in treating cellulite. This essential oil balances intense emotions and controls mood swings. It lifts spirits and counters depression. It assists in managing stress and overcoming stress-related disorders and nervous exhaustion.

Cautions: Generally non-toxic and non-sensitizing. Not suitable for people with epilepsy or high blood pressure. Avoid in pregnancy since it is an emmenagogue. Might antidote homeopathic remedies.
