【精油使用注意事项】

7、请按建议量使用。使用过量会导致反效果,甚至对身体造成过大负担。

【精油的保存方法】
1、品质精良的精油,必定是使用深色玻璃瓶装,常用深蓝色或深棕色,可防止紫外线。

pepper (Piper nigrum)
Black
pepper (Piper nigrum) is a flowering vine in the family Piperaceae,
cultivated for its fruit, which is usually dried and used
as a spice and seasoning. The fruit, known as a peppercorn
when dried, is a small drupe five millimetres in diameter,
dark red when fully mature, containing a single seed. Peppercorns,
and the powdered pepper derived from grinding them, may be
described as black pepper, white pepper, red/pink pepper,
green pepper, and very often simply pepper. The terms pink
peppercorns, red pepper, and green pepper are also used to
describe the fruits of other, unrelated plants.
The plant
is originally a forest plant and this climbing woody vine
uses trees or other supports to grow to about twenty feet
high, but is normally kept to about 12 feet for commercial
purposes and has a lifespan of about twenty years.
The word
pepper is derived from the Latin word piper, which in turn
is taken from the Sanskrit word pippali. It has been used
since the times of the Ancient Romans and Greeks and even
the Turks levied a tax on pepper, while the French, Portuguese
and Dutch often went to war in the middle ages to fight for
this lucrative trade from the far east.
Black
pepper is produced from the still-green unripe berries
of the pepper plant. The berries are cooked briefly in hot
water, both to clean them and to prepare them for drying.
The heat ruptures cell walls in the fruit, speeding the work
of browning enzymes during drying. The berries are dried in
the sun or by machine for several days, during which the fruit
around the seed shrinks and darkens into a thin, wrinkled
black layer. Once dried, the fruits are called black peppercorns.
White
pepper consists of the seed only, with the skin of the
fruit removed. This is usually accomplished by process known
as retting, where fully ripe berries are soaked in water for
about a week, during which the flesh of the fruit softens
and decomposes. Rubbing then removes what remains of the fruit,
and the naked seed is dried. Alternative processes are used
for removing the outer fruit from the seed, including decortication,
the removal of the outer layer from black pepper from berries
through mechanical, chemical or biological methods.
Green
pepper, like black, is made from the unripe berries. Dried
green peppercorns are treated in a manner that retains the
green colour, such as treatment with sulfur dioxide or freeze-drying.
Pickled peppercorns, also green, are unripe berries preserved
in brine or vinegar. Fresh, unpreserved green pepper berries,
largely unknown in the West, are used in some Asian cuisines,
particularly Thai cuisine.Their flavour has been described
as piquant and fresh, with a bright aroma. They decay quickly
if not dried or preserved.
As
medicine Like many eastern spices, pepper was historically
both a seasoning and a medicine. Long pepper, being stronger,
was often the preferred medication, but both were used. Black
peppercorns figure in remedies in Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani
medicine in India. The 5th century Syriac Book of Medicines
prescribes pepper (or perhaps long pepper) for such illnesses
as constipation, diarrhea, earache, gangrene, heart disease,
hernia, hoarseness, indigestion, insect bites, insomnia, joint
pain, liver problems, lung disease, oral abscesses, sunburn,
tooth decay, and toothaches.Various sources from the 5th century
onward also recommend pepper to treat eye problems, often
by applying salves or poultices made with pepper directly
to the eye. There is no current medical evidence that any
of these treatments has any benefit; pepper applied directly
to the eye would be quite uncomfortable and possibly damaging.

antispasmodic, antitoxic, aphrodisiac, digestive, diuretic,
febrifuge, laxative, rubefacient, tonic (especially of the
spleen).
